Fiesta audio system failure

That sucks! My Fiesta had something similar happen. Audio cutting in and out, nasty distortion. I'm no expert, but could be the speakers. Any weird buzzing or crackling before it died?

Thanks! Now that you mention it, I did hear some weird crackling from the bass speaker a few weeks ago, but I thought it was just a bad recording. Could a defective bass speaker really kill the entire audio system?

Yeah, man, that's what I'm thinking! The crackling is a telltale sign. A dodgy speaker can mess with the whole system. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked. Better safe than sorry, right?

Thanks a lot for the advice! I think you're right, I'll take it to a workshop. Turns out it was the bass speaker, like you suspected. Repair cost me 280€. I really appreciate the help!
