Fiesta charge air temperature sensor error

Thanks for the quick reply! The error code does point directly to the charge air temperature sensor. I'll double-check the hoses like you suggested, but the whistling is definitely more noticeable when I put my foot down. Could a faulty sensor really cause that kind of noise?

In my experience, yes, a faulty sensor can cause unusual readings that affect the engine's performance and generate unusual sounds. Given the specific error code and the symptoms you're describing, there is a strong probability that the sensor or its wiring is indeed the problem. Considering the uncertainties, I would recommend a professional diagnosis and possible component replacement at a local workshop.

Appreciate the advice! I double checked the hoses, didn't see anything obvious. Took it to a local shop, and they confirmed it was the charge air temperature sensor and a defective plug connection, just like the error code suggested. 95€ later and she's running smooth. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar issue with my Fiesta, although it manifested slightly differently. Did the error code specifically point to the sensor itself, or just a general airflow issue? Perhaps, consider checking all the air intake hoses for any cracks or loose connections before assuming it's the sensor. Is the whistling noise constant or only under acceleration?
