Fiesta Coolant Loss

I'm having a weird issue with my 2006 Ford Fiesta (gasoline engine). The coolant level keeps dropping way too low. The check engine light keeps popping up, and when I hooked it up to a reader, it's throwing an error related to low coolant. I've checked for obvious leaks around the radiator hoses and the coolant reservoir, but can't see anything obvious. Could there be air pockets or something causing this? Engine overheating is a worry. Mileage is at 181159 km.

I had something similar happen with my Fiesta. Same symptoms, check engine light and everything. I was constantly topping up the coolant. Did you check around the water pump? That's where my leak was finally discovered.

Water pump, huh? I hadn't thought of that. Was it a pretty obvious leak when you found it, or something subtle? And did you notice any other signs, like weird noises or anything?

It was a slow leak, not gushing, but enough to cause the level to drop over time. Never any noises, just the low coolant warning. Honestly, take it to a workshop; it could also be a head gasket issue, but let's hope not! The bill was around 52€.

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely check the water pump and probably take it in to get looked at properly. Hopefully, it's just that and not the dreaded head gasket. Really appreciate the help!
