Yes, the central locking system is completely unresponsive, so it seems we had the same experience. Do you think it's probably cable or plug connection of the component defective, as I'm afraid of? And, if so, what did you do to fix the problem?

Yes, sounds very similar to my issue. To be honest, I didn't want to fiddle with the electrics myself. I took it to a workshop who sorted it out quickly and without great cost. They confirmed the cable or plug connection of the component was indeed defective. I would suggest doing the same.

Thanks for the advice! I took your suggestion and went to the workshop. They located a defective cable or plug connection, just like you suggested, and repaired it for 95€. Everything works perfectly again!

I had a similar issue with my Fiesta. It sounds like the door latch or the door switch is faulty. I suspect that the contact signal is defective. Is the central locking system completely unresponsive?
