Fiesta sunroof sunblind stuck
Summary of the thread
The sunblind on a 2002 Ford Fiesta became stuck, and the sunroof displayed a 'not initialized' error following some coding changes. This issue was likely due to a coding problem. A suggested solution was to take the vehicle to a workshop for recalibration, which successfully resolved the problem.

I attempted a reset as per the owner's manual, but it didn't work. Could you tell me the exact steps that fixed it on your BMW? Any insight would be great.

Yeah, I tried the owner's manual reset thing too, total waste of time, right? Honestly, in the end, I had to take it to a workshop. They plugged it in, did some kind of recalibration with their fancy computer gizmo, and bam, good as new. It was clearly a coding issue. Sounds like yours is too.

I appreciate the confirmation. Based on your experience, I took the vehicle to a trusted workshop, as suggested. They recalibrated the sunroof system, and it is now working correctly. The repair cost was 75€.

Sounds frustrating, I know the feeling. I had a similar problem with my old BMW 3 Series after a software change. The sunroof went completely haywire! Sunblind jammed, error messages popping up… the whole nine yards. Did you try any resets or initializing procedures? Sometimes that’s enough to sort it out.
