Fiesta transmission issues

I'm having major issues with my 2023 Ford Fiesta gasoline engine, about 159k km on it. The automatic transmission is seriously acting up! Implausible shifting, the transmission light is on, and sometimes it just doesn't shift right. Now it is in emergency mode. Could this be the transmission oil? Anyone else had this?

Sounds familiar! I had similar transmission problems with my Fiesta (though I don't remember what year). Was it maybe undervoltage in the vehicle? Have you checked the hydraulic fluid recently?

Undervoltage, really? I haven't checked that specifically. Where should I even begin to look for that? And hydraulic fluid, is that the same as transmission fluid? Sorry, I'm not the most mechanically inclined...

Yeah, undervoltage can mess with the transmission's electronic controls. And yes, hydraulic fluid in this case means transmission fluid. To be honest, with those symptoms, it's probably best to take it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the issue and check for things like slipping transmission. It's better than guessing and potentially making things worse.

Thanks a lot! I took it to a shop, and you were right they said it was likely due to undervoltage causing the transmission oil to wear out prematurely. Cost me 240€ for an oil replacement. Appreciate the help!
