Figo anti theft alarm malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Ford Figo owner experienced a malfunction with the anti-theft alarm system, which was completely non-functional and showed an error in the memory. The issue was identified as a glitch in the alarm system's coding related to the optical locking function. The problem was resolved by resetting and recoding the system at a workshop.

It's definitely the whole system. No sound, no flashing lights, nothing. The error memory is the only clue. What exactly was happening with yours?

Ah, mine was just the lights, so probably a different cause. My mechanic mentioned that if the whole system is dead, it could be an issue with the alarm being coded to activate the optical locking, but that the function is broken. I'd suggest taking it to a workshop to get it checked out.

Thanks for the advice! Turns out you were right – it was indeed the alarm system being coded for the optical locking, which somehow glitched. A quick reset and recoding at the workshop, and it's all sorted. Cost me 45€. Appreciate the insight!

I also have a Ford Figo and had a similar issue a while back. Does the alarm sound or is it just the indicator lights that aren't working when you lock/unlock the car?
