Figo charge air temperature sensor error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Ford Figo diesel with 232,298 km is experiencing a charge air temperature sensor error, resulting in a check engine light, reduced power, a whistling noise, and loud hissing during acceleration. The likely cause is identified as a defective cable or plug connection. The issue was resolved by repairing the cable connection at a workshop, effectively solving the problem.

Could you clarify what you mean by temperature fluctuation in the air intake and how it relates to the charge air temperature sensor?

If the temperature readings from the sensor are erratic, it could indicate a faulty connection or sensor. It's like the engine getting conflicting messages, so it reduces power as a precaution. Given your symptoms and the potential cause, I'd advise getting it checked by a workshop. It may be a simple fix, like mine was, but best not to risk further damage.

I appreciate the advice. I visited a workshop and it was the cable connection of the charge air temperature sensor. Repair cost: 95€. Problem solved.

Sounds familiar! I had similar issues with my Figo. Reduced power and that awful hissing noise. Have you checked for temperature fluctuation in the air intake? It's like trying to run a marathon with a clogged nose.
