Figo Diesel Stalling Fuel Pump Suspected
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Ford Figo diesel is experiencing starting issues, stalling when idling, rough running, increased fuel consumption, and a check engine light, with an error code suggesting a potential fuel pump problem. Initial checks of wiring and relays showed no obvious issues. A similar case with a petrol engine was resolved by replacing the fuel pump. Ultimately, the problem was traced to a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel pump, which was repaired by a mechanic.

I had a look at the wiring and the relay seems fine at first glance. Where there any specific things I should be looking for besides corroded connections? Was it the fuel pump in the end for you?

That's where my knowledge ends. Since you already checked the basics, it is likely the fuel pump. It got too complex for me, so I took it to a workshop. They replaced the fuel pump, and the problem was solved. I would recommend you do the same.

Thanks for the advice! It seems like you're right. I took it to my local mechanic, and it turns out it was a defective cable or plug connection to the fuel pump. They sorted it out, and the total bill was 95€.

I had almost the exact same symptoms on my Figo, though I've got a petrol engine. Rough running, stalling, check engine light – the works! Have you checked the simple stuff first, like the fuel pump relay or any obvious wiring issues around the pump?
