Figo Fuel Flap Issue
Summary of the thread
The 2018 Ford Figo diesel has a fuel flap release issue where it won't lock or unlock, accompanied by an error in the memory and unavailable functions. The problem is suspected to be electrical, possibly due to a defective lock actuator or wiring issues. After replacing the key fob battery without resolving the issue, a workshop confirmed the problem was due to a defective linkage, which was repaired.

Thanks for the suggestions. I replaced the key fob battery, but the problem is still there. I'm not sure if my Figo has a manual cable release. If it doesn't, what's the next step? Is a faulty lock actuator likely?

If the key fob battery is fresh and there's no manual release, yeah, a faulty lock actuator is the prime suspect. It could also be wiring, of course! Diagnosing that electrical issue without proper tools might be difficult. Have you considered taking it to a workshop? I bet they'd find and fix this quickly.

Thanks for the insights. I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed a defective linkage, as suspected. The repair, including parts and labour, cost 210€.

Sounds frustrating! Have you checked the key fob battery? Sometimes a weak signal can cause electrical gremlins. Does your Figo have a cable release in the cabin as a backup? If so, does that work? If the key fob is working fine, this is probably a defective lock actuator, or a cable issue, if applicable.
