Figo Wiper Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Ford Figo experienced complete windshield wiper failure, with a scan indicating a wiper system error, though fuses were intact. Initial diagnostics suggested checking for wiring issues, as similar problems in other vehicles were caused by corroded wiring harnesses. Ultimately, a professional inspection revealed a defective wiper switch and a faulty wiring harness, which were repaired at a cost.

No turn signal or cruise control issues so far. Where was the corroded wiring harness on your Astra? Was it easy to inspect, or did it need special tools?

On the Astra, the corrosion was near the base of the steering column, where a wire bundle connects to modules. I had to remove trim to see it. Since you don't have other issues, it might be a different failure. Tracing wiring is a headache. Unless you're comfortable with electrical systems, get it checked by a workshop.

Based on your recommendation, I took it to a shop. They found a defective wiper switch and a faulty wiring harness. The repair cost 95€.

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Opel Astra: wipers dead and an error code. Were there any turn signal or cruise control issues at the same time? Mine was a corroded wiring harness affecting multiple systems.
