Fiorino multifunction steering wheel failure
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Fiat Fiorino experienced a complete failure of its multifunction steering wheel, with an error memory indicating a fault. Initial checks ruled out issues with the horn, airbag light, and fuses, suggesting a more complex problem. The likely causes were identified as a potential sensor issue, control module failure, or a cable connectivity problem. Ultimately, a defective cable connection in the steering wheel was confirmed and repaired by a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply! Horn's fine, and no airbag light. Fuses seem okay, but I'm no expert. If it's not a fuse, what else could cause the entire multifunction steering to just quit?

Hmm, if the horn and airbag are good, but no fuse issue then, yeah, sounds like a deeper dive is needed. Could be a cable problem in the steering wheel itself, or some kind of connectivity problem. Honestly, for something like that, you might be better off taking it to a workshop.

Thanks for the help! Turns out you were spot on – it was a defective cable connection in the steering wheel. Workshop confirmed and fixed it for 95€. Appreciate the advice!

Electrical faults can be a pain. Multifunction steering, eh? Is the horn working? Airbag light on? Could be something simple like a fuse, have you checked those?
