I had a similar issue with my Renault Kangoo. The air distribution was all messed up. Did you check all the fuses related to the car HVAC?

Yes, the symptoms were very similar. I'd still suggest getting the system diagnostics checked professionally. It cost me 95€, but at least I know the root cause.
