Thanks for the reply! Where is the sensor located? And how did you finally figure out it was the control unit and not something simpler, like the sensor itself?

The lateral acceleration sensor is usually somewhere near the center of the car, often under the driver's seat or console. As for diagnosis, I couldn't pinpoint it myself. I ended up taking it to a workshop where they confirmed the control unit was faulty. I suggest visiting a shop. They can check steering angle and yaw rate, and use electronic control diagnostics to properly analyze the fault codes. Good luck!

Appreciate the advice. Looks like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. I was hoping it was something simple. Thanks again for sharing your experience; at least I have an idea of what to expect.

I had a similar issue with my FiveHundred. The ABS light was on, and the error memory pointed to a sensor fault. Have you checked the sensor connections? Sometimes it's just a loose wire. Though in my case, the issue was a defective control unit. It's not always easy to diagnose without proper equipment.
