FiveHundred seat heater problem

Hey, I have a 2004 Ford FiveHundred with a gasoline engine. My seat heater isn't working – doesn't get warm at all, and there's an error code stored. I'm guessing it's the heating mat, but has anyone else run into this?

I had a similar issue with my FiveHundred. Is the error consistent, or does it come and go? Mine was intermittent at first, then just stopped working completely. I remember reading something about a common problem with the seat cushion itself causing the heater to fail.

The error is consistent, never goes away. When yours failed, did you end up replacing the whole seat, or just the heating element?

Definitely didn't replace the whole seat! It was just the heating mat. To be honest, I'm not that handy with car electrics, so I took it to a workshop. Cost a bit, but they sorted it quickly.

Thanks! I appreciate the info. Looks like I'll be taking it to a workshop too. Got a quote for around 390€ to replace the heating mat. Sounds about right.
