FJCruiser BUS Communication Error

Hey, my 2020 Toyota FJCruiser with a gasoline engine is throwing some weird codes and acting up. It's got 181004 km on it. I'm getting sporadic errors in driving mode, error lights popping on and off, and the audio/nav system glitches out or just dies sometimes. A couple times, the whole system seems to freeze up. I scanned it with my OBD-II reader and there are errors stored. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my FJCruiser. Is it losing connection, like a BUS communication error? Mine was doing the same thing with the radio cutting out and random error messages.

Yeah, could be BUS related. How did you end up fixing it? Any specific control modules or connections I should be checking first?

I didn't fix it myself, honestly. I took it to a workshop and they ID'd it as a defective cable connection to the control unit, specifically on the BUS system. They replaced the cable and it sorted everything out. I'd suggest having it checked.

Thanks for the info! I'll take it to the shop. The mechanic confirmed it, BUS system cable connection was the culprit. 155€ and I'm back on the road. Appreciate the help!
