Summary of the thread
A 2012 FJCruiser is experiencing an unresponsive electronic parking brake, with an error code C1345 indicating an open circuit in the motor. The issue is likely due to a faulty electric motor in the brake caliper, though checking the wiring harness and connections for corrosion or loose connections is advised. Good shout on the wiring, hadn't dug that deep yet. The error code is C1345 - Motor Circuit Open. I'm assuming this is pointing me back to the electric motor inside the caliper.

C1345 pretty much confirms it. An open circuit on the motor points directly at a faulty motor, or possibly, but less likely, a break in the internal wiring within the caliper. Given the mileage, the motor is the prime suspect. I'd recommend getting it checked at a reputable workshop, replacing brake parts without proper validation can cause vehicle safety issues.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was hoping it was something simpler, but I suspected the motor was toast. Booked it in at the shop; 505€ quoted for the repair. Appreciate the input!

Sounds familiar. Have you checked the wiring harness and connections to the caliper? Corrosion or a loose connection can sometimes mimic a motor failure. Also, what's the exact error code you're pulling? That could narrow things down significantly.
