FJCruiser Seat Heater Failure

My 2010 Toyota FJCruiser with a gasoline engine has a seat heater that isn't working. It has about 73977 km. Diagnostic scans show an error, and I think the heating mat is bad. Any ideas on how to diagnose or common problems?

I had a similar problem with my 2012 BMW 3 series. The seat heater just stopped working. Does the error code point to a specific side or element? In my case, only the back part of the seat didn't heat up.

The error code doesn't specify a side or element, just a general fault in the seat heating circuit. Was your problem the same?

Likely the heating element. Best go to a workshop and have them check it. I ended up paying almost 400€ to have it fixed.
