Fluence automatic transmission torque converter issue

I've got a concerning issue regarding my 2014 Renault Fluence with a gasoline engine. My automatic transmission seems to be giving me fits. I've got 248168 km on the clock. The check engine light is on, along with the transmission indicator. It feels like the gearbox is slipping and shifting uncleanly. To top it off, there's this grinding noise when it shifts. I had it scanned, and an error related to the torque converter lock-up clutch came up. Has anyone experienced something similar? The preliminary diagnosis points to a defective automatic transmission converter.
