Fluence Belt Tensioner Failure

Belt was replaced recently, and idler pulley seems fine. Pretty sure the tensioner is the culprit. When the 'belt handover' fails, what exactly goes wrong on your Opel?

Ah, a replaced belt rules that out. On the Astra, the tensioner spring weakened, and the belt started slipping. It sounds like you are running into the same issue. I recommend you go to the workshop to check it out.

Confirmed, it's the tensioner. Repair will be 455€. Thanks for the advice!

Sounds familiar. Had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. Engine noise got progressively worse, almost a squeal. Are you sure it's the tensioner and not just a worn belt or idler pulley? Those can cause similar symptoms.
