Fluence Bumper Antenna Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2014 Renault Fluence electric with 248848 km. I suspect a problem with the bumper antenna. There's an error stored, and now unlocking and locking don't work. Also, the engine won't start without the key in the ignition. Could a defective cable or plug connection cause this?

These symptoms point to an antenna issue. I saw something similar with a 2016 Opel Astra, where a faulty antenna connection caused problems with the central locking and ignition. Have you checked the antenna cable and connectors for damage or corrosion?

I checked the cable and connectors but didn't see any damage. Could intermittent signal interference cause these errors even without visible damage? Or could the antenna mount itself be the problem?

Intermittent interference is possible, but the engine starting issue suggests a hardware fault. My Opel experience points to a defective antenna or connection rather than interference. I'd suggest a diagnostic check at a workshop.

I had the car inspected at a workshop. They confirmed a defective bumper antenna, with a cable connection issue as suspected. The antenna was replaced, and the repair was 95€ Thank you!
