Interesting! Where exactly is the battery sensor located, and is it something I could check myself with basic tools?

On mine, it was attached to the negative terminal of the battery, but I’m not sure for the 2012 model. Visually inspect the terminals and wires around the battery first. Look for any corrosion or loose connections. But honestly, a faulty battery sensor needs replacing usually. The repair cost me 315€. I'd suggest having a workshop take a look. Much safer!

Thanks! I'll take a look but I think you're right, a shop is the way to go. Confirmed with my local garage - defective battery sensor. Replaced and all seems good now!

Hey! I had something similar happen with my Fluence. Weak battery when charging, same error messages and all. Have you checked the battery sensor? They can cause havoc with the charging system. It might be worth a look before you think about a new battery.
