Fluence Electric High Voltage System Error

I am experiencing an issue with my 2015 Renault Fluence Electric, mileage 85686 km. The high-voltage system error message is stored in the error memory. Subsequently, the engine shuts off and engine power is reduced. I suspect a heavily discharged or defective battery.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my 2017 Nissan Leaf. The 'high-voltage system' warning kept popping up, and the car would go into a limp mode. Have you checked the voltage sensor? It could be faulty, giving incorrect readings and causing the system to shut down as a safety measure.

Could you provide more information on the voltage sensor and its location within the Nissan Leaf?

On my Leaf, the voltage sensor issue was diagnosed by a technician, so I don't know the exact location. I'd suggest getting the Renault scanned professionally. A bad cell in the high-voltage battery can also cause a similar issue. If the battery is the culprit, a replacement will cost about 290€.

Thank you for the information. I will take the vehicle to a workshop for a diagnostic scan.
