Fluence engine power loss after chip tuning
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Renault Fluence experienced engine power loss and a dashboard warning light after undergoing third-party chip tuning. This issue is likely due to the tuning interfering with the car's computer system, causing a fault code. The recommended solution is to have a workshop check the ECU to resolve the problem.

As a matter of fact I did have some third-party chip tuning done a while back. Why do you ask? Is that a common cause for this?

Yes, that's exactly what happened with mine. The third-party tuning messed with the car's computer. The error was stored in the error memory. Best to take it to a workshop and have them check the ECU. I had to pay 180€ to get it sorted

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take it to a workshop and mention the chip tuning. Hopefully that will take care of it.

I have a Fluence too, though I don't remember the exact year of manufacture right now. Your issue sounds similar to what I had a while back. Did you recently get any chip tuning done by a third-party provider?
