Fluence gearbox issues
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Fluence with 125,000 km is experiencing gearbox issues, including non-functional paddle shifters, unclean shifting, and occasional grinding noises, suggesting it might be in emergency mode. The error memory indicates a problem with the transmission control unit. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by repairing the transmission control unit, suggesting this as a potential solution. Visiting a workshop for a professional diagnosis and repair is recommended.

Yeah, the paddles are slow to respond, too. Did you ever figure out what was wrong with your Peugeot? Was it something with the control module?

Yep! Turned out to be the transmission control unit. The mechanic said it was a common issue. It cost me a pretty penny to fix! I think it's best to visit a workshop before it is getting more expensive. Good luck!

Thanks for the info! Sounds like I'm headed to the shop. I was afraid of that, but it's good to have an idea of what to expect. The guy from the workshop told me something about 1000€ for the repair of the control unit. Anyway, thanks for your help!

Oh man, that sounds rough! I had a similar problem with my old Peugeot 308. It wasn't exactly the same, but my automatic gearbox was slipping like crazy, and the shifts were super jerky. I was scared I'd end up stranded somewhere! Do you also have a slow response when using the paddle shifters?
