Fluence incomplete system readiness
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Renault Fluence displayed an error message related to an incomplete system readiness check after an OBD2 readout. This issue was likely due to the readiness monitors resetting and not completing their cycle. The suggested solution was to perform a drive cycle, which involves driving at varying speeds to allow the system to re-establish diagnostic routines. After following this advice, the error cleared without any cost.

Drive cycle? Is that just driving normally, or is there a specific pattern? I haven't done anything specific yet, hoping the error disappears. The check engine light is on. Does the pattern depend on the error stored?

Certain speeds and durations might be needed. I never figured out the exact dance for the Astra. Could never get it to reset. Ended up at the workshop so they could force the readiness. They mentioned onboard diagnostics and emissions test parameters.

Turns out it was exactly that. The OBD readout caused the readiness monitors to reset, and they hadn't completed their cycle. Drove it for about 30 minutes at varying speeds, and the error cleared itself. No cost at all!

Had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra after scanning it. Did you try completing a drive cycle to reset the OBD readiness? Sometimes it just needs a little time to re-establish the diagnostic routines. Has the check engine light illuminated?
