Fluence oil level sensor fault

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2016 Renault Fluence, gasoline engine. It's done 239662 km. I keep getting an error message about the oil level sensor – the signal seems faulty. The error's also stored, and the warning light is on. Sometimes the oil pressure warning lamp lights up too. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Is it worth fixing myself or should I take it to a shop?

I've had a similar issue with my Fluence. Sounds like the oil level sensor is acting up. Check the connections first, but it could be the sensor itself.

Thanks! When you had the issue, did you also get the oil pressure light coming on, or was it just the sensor error? Also, did you end up replacing the sensor, or was it a wiring issue?

I had the sensor error, but not the oil pressure light. I'd check the wiring like the other person said, but in the end I had to take it to a workshop, they solved it. Probably best to do the same.

Thanks! Yeah, sounds like that's the best course of action. I'll take it to a local place and have them take a look. They quoted me around 95€ for a replacement sensor and fitting, so hopefully, that'll sort it out. Thanks again for sharing your experience!
