Fluence oil pressure warning light
Summary of the thread
A 2015 diesel Renault Fluence displayed an oil pressure warning light, leading to concerns about a potential issue with the engine oil temperature sensor. The problem was suspected to be related to a defective cable or plug connection. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the issue was indeed a faulty engine oil temperature sensor due to a defective cable, which was subsequently repaired.

Thanks for your reply. I checked the sensor. Visually everything looks normal. Do you mean you had similar symptoms and it was also the oil temperature sensor? Did the oil pressure light also come on?

Yeah, similar in that the warning lights were going crazy. I didn't dig too deep myself, just took it to a workshop. They diagnosed a faulty temp sensor. Best to get it checked out properly.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I took it to the workshop. It was indeed the engine oil temperature sensor. The cable was defective. Repair cost 95€. Now everything is working as it should.

Hey, I also drive a Fluence, though I haven't experienced exactly that. But those symptoms…sounds like it could be the oil sensor. Have you checked the wiring?
