Summary of the thread
A 2011 Renault Fluence diesel was experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, leading to problems with the AC, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The suspected cause was a defective cable or plug connection. After a workshop diagnosis, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty temperature sensor, which was replaced, resolving the issues.

Thanks for the quick reply! I visually inspected the sensor and connector, and didn't see anything obvious. I don't have a multimeter. Where exactly should I be testing for continuity in the wiring harness? Is there a specific pinout diagram I should be following?

Given your description and lack of multimeter access, I'd advise against probing the harness yourself. Incorrect probing could damage sensitive electronic components. The symptoms are consistent with a defective sensor or its immediate connections. A workshop diagnosis is now advisable.

Thanks, I appreciate the advice. I took it to a local workshop, and you were right. It turned out to be a defective temperature sensor. They replaced it for 95€ and everything is working fine now!

Greetings. The symptoms you describe strongly suggest a faulty outside temperature sensor circuit. Have you inspected the sensor itself for any visible damage, such as cracks or corrosion on the connector? Also, did you check the wiring harness for continuity with a multimeter?
