Fluence Overheating Electric Fan Issue

I'm having trouble with my 2016 Renault Fluence with a gasoline engine. At 80885 km, the engine is overheating, and the electric fan isn't working. I think it's a bad cable or plug. Has anyone had this issue with the electric fan?

I drive a Renault Fluence. Overheating is no joke. Before you dive in, have you checked the fan motor relay? It's like a tiny switch that tells the fan motor to kick on. If that relay is busted, the fan won't get the message. Could save you a lot of hassle if it's just that. Let me know what you find!

I hadn't considered the relay. Could you explain where it is and how to test it before I replace anything?

The relay is usually in the engine compartment's fuse box. Your owner's manual should have a diagram. If you have a multimeter, that’s your best bet for testing it. But honestly, with those symptoms, and knowing Renault electrics... I'd bet it's heading toward a workshop visit. My issue ended up being corroded connectors, which needed professional cleaning. Might be time to brace yourself for a 95€ bill.

I'll get professional diagnostics, considering the electrical system. Thanks for the help; your insights guided my next steps. The cost was exactly 95€, as you predicted!
