Fluence radio error

Experiencing an issue with my 2012 Renault Fluence (gasoline engine). The infotainment system displays an error, and the radio reception is non-existent, making the audio system unusable. Error memory shows a radio-related error. Could a defective antenna be the problem?

I had a similar issue with my Fluence. The symptoms you describe match my experience. Have you checked the antenna base for corrosion or damage? Also, inspect the coax cable connection to the radio unit itself. It might be a simple connectivity problem.

Where exactly is the antenna amplifier located in the Fluence? Is it easily accessible, or does it require dismantling a significant portion of the dashboard?

While a DIY inspection might be tempting, I'd strongly recommend taking it to a workshop. The diagnostic process can be intricate. In my case, the issue turned out to be a faulty antenna, costing 255€ to replace. A professional diagnosis will confirm if the antenna is indeed the problem and prevent any unintentional damage during disassembly.

Understood. I will take it to a reputable shop and have them run a diagnostic check. Hopefully, it's just the antenna. I appreciate your help!
