Fluence stalling at idle
Summary of the thread
The 2016 Renault Fluence is experiencing stalling at idle, with a consistent check engine light and a 'bad idle air control valve' error code. The core problem is likely related to the idle air control (IAC) valve or a dirty throttle body. The suggested solution is to visit a workshop for further diagnostics and potential repair, as similar symptoms were resolved by addressing these components.

Rough idling? Absolutely! It was like the engine was hiccuping before giving up the ghost. And yeah, the check engine light was pretty consistent, like a constant reminder of my misery. You think it was definitely the IAC valve in your case?

Yep, those were the exact same symptoms I experienced. Given your mileage and the codes you're pulling, it's very likely the IAC valve or a seriously dirty throttle body. My suggestion would be to visit a workshop. In my case, the repair cost was around 425€. They will run further diagnostics to confirm.

Thanks a bunch for confirming! Sounds like I'm heading down the same path. I appreciate you sharing your experience; a workshop visit it is! Hopefully, I can get this sorted soon!

Hey there! I had a similar issue with my Fluence. Stalling at idle sounds familiar. Did you notice any rough idling before it completely stalled? Was the check engine light consistently on, or did it flicker? Just trying to narrow it down.
