Fluence Washer Fluid Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Renault Fluence owner experienced a persistent washer fluid low warning and a non-functional windshield washer system despite topping off the fluid. The issue was suspected to be a blockage or a faulty sensor. After consulting a technician, it was confirmed that the sensor was indeed faulty, and replacing it resolved the problem.

Overfilling is not possible in this vehicle, it has an overflow outlet. About the nozzles, where exactly do I check them, and what kind of debris are we talking about? Is there a specific procedure?

Sorry for the late response. I suspected a blockage as this has happened to me before with a different vehicle. If the system is still experiencing issues despite topping up the fluid, I highly suggest taking your Renault to a qualified technician. It is possible the sensor itself is faulty, or there's an electrical issue preventing the pump from working. This may require diagnostic tools to properly assess.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and it turned out that the sensor was faulty, just as you suspected. Replacing it cost me about 25€. Problem solved!

That's odd. You've already checked the obvious – the fluid level. Did you perhaps overfill it? Sometimes these systems can be quite sensitive. Is there any chance the nozzles are blocked with debris, preventing the fluid from spraying?
