Focus AC Problem

My 2000 Ford Focus with a gasoline engine has an AC problem. It no longer cools, and the system doesn't switch on at all. Mileage is at 111991 km. Any ideas?

I had similar AC issues on my Focus. Does the compressor kick on at all? Check the pressure switch; a bad one will prevent the system from engaging. Could also be low refrigerant, but start with the switch. AC maintenance is key!

Thanks for the tip! Where is the pressure switch located, and how can I test it?

On my Focus, it's near the receiver drier. Testing requires AC diagnostics equipment; you're better off taking it to a workshop for a proper check. I eventually needed new valves, which cost around 1000€.

Appreciate the insight. Confirmed with a mechanic that it's faulty valves. Quoted around 1000€ as well. Thanks!
