Focus central locking fault

Hi, I've got a 2008 Ford Focus with a gasoline engine and I'm having trouble with the central locking. I can't lock or unlock the doors, and I'm seeing an error in the system's memory. Any ideas?

Sounds like a pain! Does your Focus have keyless entry? If so, that could be related. Also, the error code is key here. Have you checked the fuses? Sometimes it's the simple things that get overlooked.

Yes, it does have keyless entry. I haven't checked the fuses yet, I'll give that a shot. What do you mean exactly about the keyless entry being related? Is there a common fault?

With keyless entry, there's a module that controls everything. If that module, or any of the wiring leading to it, is faulty, it can cause all sorts of weirdness with the central locking. Given the error code, it's pointing to a break in the circuit. It's likely a defective cable or plug connection. Honestly, for something like this, it might be worth getting it checked by a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I checked the fuses and they seem fine. I took it to a local workshop and they confirmed it was a defective cable. Cost me 95€ to fix. Appreciate the help!
