Focus Electric blower motor failure

My 2011 Ford Focus Electric with 65795 km has a fresh air blower that's not working. The blower motor won't operate, and there's an error stored. Anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

The 2011 Ford Focus Electric's fresh air blower motor is not functioning, with an error stored. The problem is identified as a completely non-operational blower motor, with no airflow at any speed. Possible causes include a defective blower motor or issues with the fan speed controller. The solution involved taking the vehicle to a workshop, where the blower motor was confirmed as the issue and subsequently repaired.

I had a similar issue with my Focus (though not electric). Does the fan work on any speed, or is it totally dead? Could be the fan speed controller or a wiring issue. Check the basics first.

Thanks! It's completely dead, no airflow at any speed. Where's the fan speed controller located? Is it hard to get to?

Sounds like a defective blower motor then. I had the same symptoms. I took it to a workshop; cost me around 350€, if I remember right. The controller might be the problem, but get it checked out.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a workshop, and it was the blower motor. Repair cost 365€. I appreciate your help!
