Focus Keyless Entry Failure

I did a quick visual check, but nothing obvious. No loose wires, and the handle seems solid. Weather doesn't seem to matter. Rain or shine, the keyless entry is dead on that door. What kind of connection problems am I looking for specifically? Is there a common point of failure?

Since the problem is unaffected by weather and a visual inspection yielded nothing, the issue might be within the wiring or connector of the door handle sensor itself. Like a faulty light switch – the switch looks fine, but the internal connection is broken. It's likely a cable or plug connection is defective. While you could disassemble the door panel and inspect the wiring harness and connector, I'd recommend taking it to a qualified workshop. The cost should be around 95€.

Appreciate the insight. Sounds like it's beyond my current skillset. I'll book an appointment with a mechanic. Knowing the likely cause will help me explain the issue. The mechanic has confirmed the defect and ordered the parts. Thanks again for your help!

The symptoms you're experiencing with your 2017 Ford Focus suggest a potential issue with the door handle's electrical components. The error code and the keyless access failure strongly indicate a fault within the door mechanism. Have you inspected the door handle and surrounding area for any visible damage or loose connections? Does the issue persist regardless of weather?
