The suspected cause is a bad cable connection within the steering wheel. Yeah, precisely. None of the steering controls work anymore. No volume, can't answer calls, cruise control is dead – the whole shebang. Did yours exhibit similar symptoms?

Yep, that's the badger! Everything on the wheel just died. I messed around with it for an afternoon, but I couldn't get anywhere. Ended up taking it to a workshop. Turns out it was a busted connection within the wheel, like you suspected.

Cheers for confirming! I'll get it booked in at the workshop then. They've quoted me 95€ for the repair, which seems reasonable enough. Hopefully, that sorts it. Thanks again!

Whoa, that sounds familiar! I've got a Focus too, though I can't say I've had the exact same experience. When you say 'multifunction steering wheel,' are you talking about the steering controls for the radio and stuff?
