Focus radar sensor error

My 2007 Ford Focus diesel is throwing errors and the error memory is full. It seems tied to the radar sensor, so no adaptive cruise control. Other systems are acting up, plus there's a warning light. Could a dirty sensor cause this?

Sounds like a party of errors! Radar sensor issues can mess with a bunch of systems. Have you tried cleaning the sensor? Where is it located on your Focus? Maybe something is obstructing it.

I was thinking of cleaning it but wasn't sure where to start. Is it something I can easily get to, or should I leave it to the professionals? I don't want to make things worse!

If you're not sure, maybe have a workshop take a look. Radar sensors can be sensitive. It's probably a small issue, but you never know. They can check the calibration, too.

Took your advice and brought it to a shop. It WAS just a dirty sensor! They cleaned and recalibrated everything, and now it's working perfectly. Total cost: 45€.
