The fan blade doesn't seem to be moving at all. Could you elaborate on the specific sensor that caused the issue in your Peugeot? Any details would be appreciated.

Right, if it's not moving at all, that's a big clue. Honestly, I'm no expert, but from what the mechanic told me, it was a temperature sensor that feeds info to the ECU. The car wasn't getting the right signals to kick the fan on. Best bet? Get it hooked up to a diagnostic machine – it'll pinpoint the problem pretty quick. Probably worth taking it to a workshop.

I took the Focus to a mechanic, and they confirmed the speed sensor was defective and causing the overheating. The repair cost about 250€.

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had almost the exact same thing happen last year with my old Peugeot – overheating, engine light, the whole shebang. It turned out to be a dodgy sensor messing with the fan speed. Does the fan blade move at all?
