Focus seat heating failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Ford Focus has a seat heating issue where the seat doesn't warm up, accompanied by an error message. The problem might be due to a faulty seat heating mat or a blown fuse. Checking the fuses is suggested as a simple first step, but if the issue persists, professional assistance is recommended for replacing the heating mat, as it involves complex disassembly of the seat and upholstery.

Thanks! Where would I find the fuse for the seat heating? Also, if it's not the fuse, how hard is it to replace the heating mat myself? I'm not skilled with car repairs.

The fuse box is usually under the dashboard or in the engine compartment; check your car's manual. I wouldn't recommend replacing the heating mat yourself unless you're experienced. It involves removing the seat and upholstery, and you could damage something. I'd recommend a workshop.

Thanks for the advice! I thought so about the heating mat replacement. I'll check the manual for the fuse, but if that doesn't work, I'll go to a professional. The workshop quoted me about 390€ for the repair, which seems reasonable.

Interesting. I had a similar issue with my Focus. The seat heating wouldn't get warm at all. Did you check the fuses? It might be a simple fix, but more likely it is the seat heating mat.
