Focus Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Ford Focus diesel is experiencing a 'not initialized' error with its sunroof system, causing the sunblind to be stuck and the convertible top to malfunction. The issue may be linked to recent coding changes. A suggested solution is to perform a system reset or recalibration, which was successfully resolved by a technician for a similar problem.

Could you tell me more about your sunroof issue? What steps did you take to fix it? Did you fix it yourself, or did you need a professional?

Yeah, mine was similar. The blind would get stuck halfway. I messed around with it, but I just took it to a workshop in the end. They sorted it pretty quick. Probably best to get it looked at before you break something else.

I took your advice and saw a technician. The sunroof system needed recalibration, and they did a reset. It cost 75€. Thanks for the help!

Hey, I have a Focus and had similar weirdness with my sunroof. The sunblind acted up, though not exactly the same. Have you tried a reset or checked the fuses?
