Focus turn signal faulty
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Ford Focus diesel has a faulty left turn signal, with an error and warning light present. Initial checks of the wiring and bulb showed no visible issues, leading to suspicion of a faulty cable or plug connection. A suggestion to inspect the connector for corrosion proved correct, as a corroded connector was identified and resolved by a workshop, restoring the turn signal's functionality.

Good shout! I'll take a closer look at the connector pins themselves. Was it obvious once you found it, or did you need to get a multimeter involved?

It wasn't immediately obvious. The corrosion was pretty minor, but once I cleaned it off, everything worked perfectly. Honestly, though, considering the hassle and potential for messing something up, I'd just take it to a workshop. I ended up doing that anyway after chasing ghosts for a week. They sorted it in an hour.

Appreciate the advice! I did end up taking it to the shop; you were right, it was a corroded connector. They cleaned it and charged me 95€, so not too bad. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The error codes and dash lights were driving me nuts. Did you check the connector itself for corrosion? That was the culprit in my case. A tiny bit of green gunk was enough to throw everything off.
