Focus uneven ride height

Hey, I'm having a weird issue with my 2011 Ford Focus electric. I'm getting a warning light, and the low beams seem off. It feels like I'm riding a bucking bronco - super bumpy! I've noticed the car sits unevenly. Hooked it up to a code reader and there's an error stored related to height control. Any ideas? Could it be a defective control rod on the load sensor?

Sounds familiar! I have a Focus too, and I had a similar problem not too long ago. That uneven height thing and the bumpy ride…was driving me crazy. It might be that leveling sensor acting up. Did you check the error codes?

Leveling sensor, huh? Interesting... Where exactly is that thing located, and is it something I can easily check myself, or am I better off just taking it to a workshop?

Honestly, its location can vary a bit. If you're not super comfortable fiddling with suspension parts, my advice? Bite the bullet and take it to a shop. They'll diagnose it properly. I messed with mine for an afternoon and just ended up frustrated. Turning out it was that control rod.

You were spot on! Took it to my local mechanic, and it was indeed a defective control rod on the sensor. New one cost 110€ including labor. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
