Ford BMAX Air Valve Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Ford BMAX owner experienced a check engine light issue, suspecting an air valve problem potentially caused by a vacuum hose defect. The vehicle had 38,157 km on the odometer. After discussing possible causes, including manifold pressure and throttle body inspection, it was suggested that a vacuum leak was likely. The owner confirmed the issue was indeed a defective hose from the pump to the valve, which was resolved at a repair shop.

Throttle body looked okay on initial inspection, but I haven't dug deeper. Manifold pressure I can check. You think it's likely a vacuum leak over something else? I haven't noticed any stalling.

Given the mileage and your description, I'd still put my money on those damn vacuum hoses. Known weak point. If you're not seeing any other obvious issues, I'd get it to a workshop to properly diagnose the vacuum system. Better safe than sorry.

Dropped it off at the shop; you were spot on. Defective hose from the pump to the valve. Cost me 175€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the insight!

Vacuum leak on a BMAX? Possible. Have you checked the manifold pressure and throttle body? A defective hose could definitely throw off the readings and trigger the light. Stalling at idle?
