Thanks for the tip! IAC valve... I'm not super familiar with that. Is it difficult to get to on the BMAX? And how would I know if it's actually the problem before replacing it?

Finding it can be a pain, it was on my Astra. Honestly, without proper tools or experience, it's tough to diagnose for sure. Given the stalling and error codes, plus the mileage, the intake being heavily contaminated is a strong possibility. If you're not comfortable tackling it yourself, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the issue and give you a quote before doing any work.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on. It was indeed a bad idle air control valve and a filthy intake. They replaced the valve and cleaned everything up. Cost me around 425€, but the car is running smoothly again. Appreciate the help!

Sounds frustrating. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. The symptoms were almost identical: engine light, error codes, and stalling at idle. For me, it turned out to be a faulty IAC valve due to a really dirty intake. Have you checked the air valve or considered that it might be clogged up?
