Ford BMAX Overvoltage Errors

My 2012 Ford BMAX, gasoline engine, is going nuts! Getting overvoltage errors, systems failing, and the battery is weak when I try to start. Seems like a general electrical meltdown. Any ideas?

Hey, I had something similar happen with my BMAX. Loads of fault codes popping up, weird electrical gremlins all over the place. Was your battery completely flat at any point?

Yeah, actually, the battery did die on me a couple of times recently. Could a dead battery really cause all this overvoltage chaos?

That's what happened to mine. Apparently, a heavily discharged or defective battery can cause voltage regulator issues. I ended up taking mine to a workshop, they confirmed the battery was shot and replaced it. All the overvoltage errors disappeared afterwards. Might be worth getting it checked out!

Thanks a bunch! I'll get the battery tested ASAP. Turns out you were spot on! Replaced the battery and the overvoltage is gone. Cost me 290€, but worth it to have the car back to normal!
