Ford Edge Heating Issue

Hi, I have a 2020 Ford Edge with a diesel engine. Lately, the heating isn't working well; it's blowing lukewarm air at best. Also, I scanned it and there's an error code related to the water valve. Could a defective water valve cause this? The scan suggests a defective cable or plug connection. Mileage is at 98540 km. Anyone experienced this?

I have an Edge too, and a similar thing happened to me. Heating was poor, but I didn't check the error codes. I'm not a mechanic but did you check the coolant level first?

Coolant level is fine. I'm thinking it might be the water valve itself or as the error suggests a wiring issue. What was the fix in your case?

Okay, given that the coolant is topped up, my case also turned out to be the valve. I recommend that you take it to a workshop, to be on the safe side, so they can check it out. It cost me around 95€.

Thanks for the info! It sounds like it's worth getting the water valve looked at. Brought it in and it was indeed the water valve. Replaced it and all good now.
