Thanks for the quick reply! No, I haven't checked the voltage at the starter solenoid yet. Is there a specific reading I should be looking for? And by 'cable and plug connections', are there any specific areas I should focus on? Maybe near the fuse box?

You're welcome. Regarding the voltage, refer to the vehicle's service manual for the correct specifications for the starter solenoid. As for cable connections, pay close attention to any visible corrosion or loose connections, particularly around the fuse box and any grounding points. Given the stored error, and without more specific troubleshooting data, I'd advise getting it checked by a qualified workshop. It could save you time and prevent further damage.

Appreciate the advice! I checked everything you mentioned, and while I didn't find anything obvious, I decided to take it to the shop. Turns out a connector had indeed become faulty. The cable or plug connection of the component was defective. They replaced the connector, and it cost me around 95€. Engine now starts fine! Thanks again!

I had something similar happen with my Ford Edge, though I can't recall the exact year. The error message also indicated a possible circuit break. I would suggest double-checking the cable and plug connections of all components related to the power supply. Have you tested the voltage at the starter solenoid?
