Ford Edge Transmission Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Ford Edge diesel was experiencing transmission issues, with warning lights on and the transmission in emergency mode, accompanied by slipping, unclean shifts, and grinding noises. The error memory indicated a defective radiator oil pressure, leading to suspicion of a bad cable or plug connection. After professional inspection, it was confirmed that a defective cable connection was causing the radiator oil pressure problems, which was quickly repaired, resolving the issue.

You had the same transmission issues related to the radiator or cooling system? Where were the leaks, or was it general? Was the pressure gauge involved?

My experience is very similar. I wouldn't self-diagnose this. Given the error code and symptoms, get it professionally inspected at a qualified workshop. They can do a leak detection and pressure test to find the cause.

Turns out there was a defective cable connection leading to radiator oil pressure problems, like I thought. A quick repair, and 95€ later, the car works like new!

I had similar symptoms on my Ford Edge automatic. The transmission wasn't shifting smoothly, and a light came on. Check for leaks around the radiator or cooling system. Inspect the pressure gauge and coolant levels too.
